Shell Business Service Centre Chennai is the sixth in a chain of eight Business Service Centers of Royal Dutch Shell plc, that provide a wide range of finance, accounting and other business or customer services to Shell operating companies globally. The Shell Shared Services Center Limited (SSSC) has around 180,000 sq ft of office space in RMZ Millinea Business Park in Perungudi, Chennai.

The project incorporates several green and energy efficient features including high performance glazing, efficient HVAC systems design including VFD drives for AHU's with VAV units, heat recovery systems energy efficient CFL's & T5 lamps, provision of day lighting sensors throughout the periphery of the building to turn off lights during daytime, occupancy sensors for office spaces, Energy Star rated equipment and appliances such as Monitors, CPU, Projectors, Refrigerators, Printers and plotters thereby reducing the energy consumption for the building by 24.62% compared to baseline norms.

The project has also invested in off-site wind energy for more than 2 years to account for 100% of the building's power consumption.Other green features include low flow water fixtures, 100% treatment of waste water and reuse for landscaping and toilet flushing, use of low VOC materials for better indoor air quality and use of environment friendly housekeeping practices by using bio-degradable chemicals, addresses health, hygiene and well-being of maintenance staff & building occupants.The project has been Certified Platinum under USGBC LEED Commercial Interiors (LEED CI)Standard.
